Periodic Bookings and Booking Times.
Periodic bookings are renewable on or after the 1st January when organisations catering for the over 60s will have priority but at other times bookings will not be cancelled to allow for this. Booking times must include preparation and clearing up time
Access.
Arrangements for obtaining the key will be discussed at the time of hiring. Keys may be collected from the Day Centre during opening hours and returned through the letter box or by arrangement from Brenda Scarr at 63 Lower Street (01279 813080).
Care of Premises.
The Day Centre must be left clean and tidy, but should your organisation leave the Crafton Room in need of cleaning you will be asked to pay for this before you are allowed to use the building again. The Management does not normally require a deposit but reserves the right to ask for one when the situation demands it.
On leaving, the furniture must be rearranged as shown on the plan by the wall near the sofa. Any breakages must be reported and paid for.
Please lock up carefully and check that the window locks and fire doors are secured. The short straight key is for the window locks and the long straight key is for the two back door bolts. The brass key is for the back door. (All these keys are on the ring.) There is no access to the office. Please check that all the lights are off, including both lavatories, and that all appliances are switched off. The outside light is left on.
Use of Kitchen.
Kitchen utensils in unlocked draws and cupboards are available but food found in the kitchen belongs to the Day Centre. There are two refrigerators one in the kitchen and the other near the front door. These may be used if space is available in them but items already inside must not be removed.
For use of ovens and hot plate - see above - under fees.
Insurance.
Hirers are responsible for obtaining insurance to cover third party claims against them or their organisation. The Management Committee’s insurance does not cover hirers’ activities.
